Prepare the three questions that always come
Almost every interview for an international role opens with the same three questions: tell me about yourself, why this country, and why should we choose you. Write one short answer for each and say it out loud until it sounds natural.
Keep each answer under one minute. Employers interviewing candidates in another country have many calls in a day, and a clear, short answer stands out.
Show evidence, not adjectives
Instead of saying you are hard-working, give the number: how many covers you served, how many machines you maintained, how many patients you handled per shift. Numbers travel across languages and cultures far better than adjectives.
Bring one short example of a problem you solved at work. It is the single most useful thing you can prepare.
Test your setup before the call
Most first interviews happen online. Check your camera, your microphone and your internet an hour early, sit in front of a plain wall with light on your face, and keep your phone charged and silent.
Have your passport, your CV and your certificates next to you. Being able to read out a document number immediately makes a strong impression.
